We're less sure whether any of the ThL 5000 phones will get it, but fingers crossed

This is another app that will educate you on how to make your ThL T5s smartphone smarter. It lets you create surveys in only a matter of minutes. You can share them through web, social media or even email. If you need results, you can monitor it any time you want. SurveyMonkey is available for iPhone users only.

In the past, Samsung has been quick to localize its phones for the Chinese market. For instance, it was the first foreign brand in China to launch a phone with slots for two SIM cards, according to Fok.

But even if Samsung reclaimed the number one spot, the company’s Chinese rivals would not be far behind, she said. For Samsung to come back to the leading position, it won’t just be about the product, but changing the perception on why Chinese users need to buy a foreign phone, Fok added.

The interface to ADB is a standard part of every Android install, SGP Technologies CEO Toby WeirJones said in a phone interview with Ars. ADB had been disabled by default on the Blackphone, he said, because of a bug in its implementation in PrivatOS that resulted in a USB boot loop when the phone’s encryption was turned on. All we had done was remove the ability to call up the developer menu, WeirJones explained. We hadn’t isolated the bug yet and had to burn a ROM to ship the first phones. ADB will be turned back on once the bug is fixed, as part of an overtheair patch.

The two budgetminded smartphones are seen as Samsung’s best hope to fend off competition from companies like Xiaomi in China. Xiaomi slipped jumped past Samsung to take first place in the China with 14 percent of the smartphone market. Samsung is now battling it out with Lenovo and Yulong for second place, each of with holding 12 percent of the smartphone market.

The company's latest flagship, the Ascend P7, shipped with Android 4.4 and we imagine it will probably get Android L, but possibly not any time soon. We're less sure whether any of the ThL 5000 phones will get it, but fingers crossed.
